St. Gabriel joins the universal Catholic Church in praying for the repose of the soul of Pope Francis.
There is a tradition in the Church to pray a 9-day Novena during the novendiales period after the passing of a Pope. I invite you to join. The Novena will be prayed from April 26th to May 4th. St. Gabriel will send an email each day during that time, with prayers for that day. Printed copies will be available in the Chapel & narthex of the Church.
A special Mass for the Dead offered for Pope Francis will also be held at St. Gabriel.

At the conclusion of the novendiales and the Church's official days of mourning come to an end, we will begin preparing for the celebration of the election of a new Pontiff. We will be inviting you to join us in prayer for the Holy Spirit's clear guidance of the Church's Cardinals and Bishops in voting for a successor in the conclave.
